At Rusty's Hawaiian, we customize our coffee from field to cup -- and share only our best results with you. 

  • We start with six varietals of coffee, each with different characteristics. We grow all of them in the Ka'u District, an award-winning coffee region on the Big Island of Hawaii.

  • After harvest, we process our coffee in traditional and wacky ways. Sometimes, we'll just let it dry in the sun. Other times, we'll soak it in seawater and other liquids. We also test different processing times on single varietals and groups of varietals.

  • Now comes the fun part: We try different roasts and brew them all, drinking cup after cup until we find the best flavors.

  • After we've found a winning combination of varietal(s) + processing method + roast, we add it to our product list.

  • Finally, we only roast coffee after you've ordered, so you get the fullest flavor and aroma in your cup. Within 24 hours of roasting, our coffee is on its way to you!
